New Books

Images below of some of the new books that are available from the Library.

Welcome to ICHS Library

A warm welcome to all returning students and those who are new to Inveralmond Community High School.

You will find the School Library on the first floor of the school. The main library can be found in F27 and the study area and senior library is located in F21.

To begin the new term there is a display of fiction books which have a school setting. The display can be found in F27 and all of the books are available to borrow.

For more information about the School Library ask Mrs Aitken, the School Librarian.

Library News

For the duration of the assessment period in school the Library in room F27 will be in use as an exam room and therefore unavailable for classes to use. If you wish to borrow a book please visit Mrs Aitken who will be based in F21 and F22 during this time, with the possible exceptions of Thursdays and Fridays when she might be supervising exams.

Borrowing Library Books

Due to the restrictions resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic it is not possible, at the moment, for staff or pupils to browse the Library stock in the normal way. However if there is a book you would like to borrow fill out the form and I will deliver the book to you. Please check the Online Catalogue first to make sure that the book is available at Inveralmond.

Use this link to use the catalogue.

Fill in this form to request a book.

If you need any help or have any questions you can find me in F22 or F27.

Welcome Back!

Welcome back everyone. I hope you had a good summer holiday. Come along to the Library and see if you can spot some of the changes that have been made to the layout over the summer!

All S1 students have been added to the Library system and can start to borrow books as soon as they have had their Library introduction.

Remember, if in doubt ask! Mrs Aitken is happy to answer any questions you may have about the Library, books and reading.
