RMBA Winners Announced!

At a ceremony in Glasgow this afternoon the winners of the Royal Mail Book Awards 2010 were announced. In the age 12 category the winner was Mr Mumbles (Invisible Fiends) by Barry Hutchison. In the teen category the winner was Grass by Cathy MacPhail.

There will be an award ceremony for all those who were judges in the school on Thursday at 3pm in the Library. Thank for all your work and a special thanks to the 3 students who read all six of the shortlisted books.

Royal Mail Book Awards

Many thanks to all the students who acted as judges and read the short-listed books. I have counted and sent off all our votes. In our schools the books which received the most votes were: The dragon whisperer by Lucinda Hare and Crossing the line by Gillian Philip. It will be interesting to see if the rest of Scotland agrees with our choices. The winners will be announced on the 22nd of February at a ceremony in Glasgow.
