Roald Dahl was born on 13th September 1916 and this is the date chosen to celebrate this wonderful author, his life and his work. Perhaps best known for his stories for children Dahl also wrote short stories and fiction for adults too - he was the author of 'Tales of the unexpected' which appeared on tv way back in the early 1980s!!
